We dined 2 weeks ago on a Wed night at the Golden Chopsticks. I was impressed by the transformation of the old Shoppers Drug Mart. They've done a nice job with the decor. The water feature in the front of the restaurant is quite nice. A water feature in the back of the restuarent would also improve the atmosphere. The wall paper is peeling in some spots. This needs to be fixed. It's a new restaurant, and the peeling wall paper makes it look tired, or un-cared for.

There were 6 or 7 other tables with patrons. We were a party of 4. The food was quite good. We had the Crab Rangoon appetiser - very good! We also ordered the Spicy Shrimp Green Curry with Chicken Red Curry with Chicken and Spicy Beef. The food was well prepared. The portions were adequate - but could have been a bit larger. Even after the appetiser - I think everyone would have enjoyed a couple more bites of food. Not really enough to share. The presentation was very nice. And the prices were reasonably.
Unfortunatley the service was very, very slow. Our server (who also has her picture on the front of the building) was dressed in a beautiful authentic costume. She seemd very timid about approaching the table. The drinks were very slow to come, and they did not not have a fully stocked bar. No Gin for a Gin ad Tonic, and they ran out of Corona. We had to track down the server to ask for a second round of drinks. We had to track her down again for the bill, then waited for some time for her to tell us to take the credit card to the front for payment. Overall the service was friendly and gracious - but slow and not efficient.
We will certainly go again, and we hope they get a litte more efficient with the service.
